Shadows
Shadows are extremely interesting because they can be directly connected to right triangles, and as we have come to know, right triangles are extremely special. By making this connection it is possible to calculate the length of a shadow as long as we have the height of whatever is creating the shadow and the angle at which the light hits the object. This allowed for us to solve a problem of our own and to better our understanding how triangles work. Along with this we had an introduction to trigonometry and how the equations work along with the angles, such as the cosine and the sine. After this unit we understood just how complicated shadows can be, but at the same time how easily they can be measured using a couple of equations.
